The kids had their Spring Piano Recital recently. They both did an excellent job! They have improved so much since August when they started taking lessons. I hope one day they will be able to play like their Papa Jon and use their talent to glorify the Lord !

Surprise 30th Birthday Party
Saturday was a busy day. After the recital my mom invited us over for dinner and cards. So at 5:00 we left the house dressed in our normal card attire pajamas and headed over to my mom's. Little did I know I was walking into my Surprise 30th Birthday Party! I was super embarrassed because I was in pjs but after I got over that I had an awesome time. Thanks to Jonathan for planning and my mom and Grandma Barbara for doing all the work. I also got a lot of great gifts and had an awesome time of fellowship with friends and family!
My beautiful Birthday cake my husband ordered by himself. It was delicious!
The one and only picture I would let Jonathan snap of me.

Piano Recital
On Saturday the kids had their Christmas piano recital. They did a wonderful job! I uploaded the video for Uncle Larry to enjoy since he couldn't make it.

Thanksgiving 2012
I have been so bad at blogging this whole year. I am going to try and blog more with the upcoming Holidays. This year the kids made a Thankful tree for the month of November. Each day they added a leaf with something they were thankful for. By Thanksgiving day it was full of leaves and things they were thankful for. I forgot to take a picture before we took it down to decorate for Christmas. This is going to be a family tradition each November. I think it will be neat to see what the kids are thankful for and it teaches them to be thankful for the things the Lord has given us. We are such a blessed family!
First Day of School 2012
Taylor and Kaleb ready for their first day of school. Taylor is in 2nd grade. Kaleb is our little Kindergarten baby.
Grandma Sharon and Papa came to take Kaleb to his first day of Kindgergarten like they did with Taylor. The kids are so blessed to have their Grandparents so close to be able to do things like this with them :)

First Day of Homeschooling!
So we just completed our first day of
school today at home! It only took us
two hours but I think that was only
because we are reviewing what she
already learned in kindergarten. She
did a great job and Kaleb even sat
for a bit and learned letters a, c, o, u
and g. I think I will start teaching him
while Taylor is in school on Tuesday's
and Thursday's. We also learned our
verse for this week which is Psalms 118:24
"This is the day the Lord has made and
I will rejoice and be glad in it!" I am
rejoicing in the Lord for the opportunity
to give my children a Godly education!

sitting room (which was empty). The rug

We started the day off with seeing where Granny
was flying this morning. All the way from CA to OK!

CALM with the Cousins!
We had such a wonderful time this past
week getting to play with Dillon, Connor,
and Brenna. It sure does make me wish
we lived closer because the kids LOVE
to be around each other. And, I love
being around my nephews and niece.
Monday Grandma Sharon, Christina,
Granny Barbara and I took them to CALM.
We went early in the morning before it got
too hot. We all had a good time and finished the day
off with a picnic and then a Sonice slushie. Thanks
to Uncle Larry who got us the CALM membership
and Sonic cards!

Family Picture
We had to take an updated family picture this
weekend for Taylor's school application. We are
applying for Legacy Christian Academy. It's a
private school where she will be spending 2 days
a week at the school with a certified teacher and
3 days at home with mommy! We are hoping
the Lord will guide us in our decision for her
future and will provide financially so we can
send her there!

4th of July
We had fun this 4th of July with our
friends from down the street. We had
a good time swimming, eating yummy
food, and watching the fireworks. A
special thanks to Uncle Larry for taking
the kids to get fireworks. They really
enjoyed our first year of fireworks!

Bradley and daddy! So glad no one
got hurt.

Summer Fun!
Here are a few pictures from our summer
fun this last month.

Bradley trying on daddy's new Red
Wing boots. Right after we took this
picture he fell over backwards cause
those boots are so stinkin heavy!

Taylor holding her newest cousin, Caia.
I think she held her for about 30 minutes.
Looks like she is going to take after her mama
and grandma! Got to love those babies!

Party Time!
Monday night we helped Grandma Dede
celebrate her 70th Birthday! Uncle Larry
ordered Chinese food, mom made a
pink cocunut cake and I made homemade
vanilla icecream! After eating I had the kids
pose for a picture with the birthday girl!
So, glad we got to spend time with Grandma
Dede on her birthday. And, we pray that
the Lord will bless her with many more!

Easter Sunday 2011
The kids posed for a picture before
church Sunday morning. Grammy
Tenny bought them their Easter
outfits this year. It's hard to get
Bradley to pose for a pic. Taylor is good
with the boys though and tries real
hard for them to help make my
life a bit easier by looking at the camera.
Here are a couple of shots from the 10

A Day at the Races!
We spent Saturday evening at the Bakersfield
Speedway with our new neighborhood friends
The McClenny's. Their son, Kabe, races the
miniature cars. Taylor, Kaleb and Bradley
loved cheering for Kabe! He was in first for
about 3 laps until someone wrecked him.
It was fun to watch the kids have such a great
time. In between his heat race and the real race
the kids posed for a picture with him. Kaleb
wasn't at the race yet because he spent the
day with his dad and Papa John at the USC
spring training day. Taylor is still kind of shy
when it comes to boys (other than Dillon & Connor)
so she turned red when Kabe posed for the picture
with her and put his arm around her. I sure hope
this shyness stays around till she is 21!

A day at CALM!
Grammy called and asked if the kids and I wanted
to spend the day with her. She took the kids and I to
CALM. We had a wonderful time! We got to ride
the train twice and see the animals. Below is a pic
of Grammy and the kids walking to see the animals.
Taylor and Kaleb also got a picture with the engineer
of the train...Bradley wouldn't stay still long enough
to get in the pic. And, the last pic is of Kaleb wearing
his mask he made at the craft center!
